O.P.I. Matte Review and Swatches

O.P.I. Matte Review and Swatches. Matte nail polish is the hottest trend in nail polish for fall and this summer O.P.I. released matte shades in some of their best sellers. I picked up three shades from the collection Russian Navy, La Paz-itively Hot Matte, and You Don't Know Jacques Matte. While trying the matte shades there are some rules one must follow when applying and wearing the shades :

Review and Thoughts: While the look of matte nail polish is very fashionable and chic it only last a day or two before chipping, and sometimes it chips the second day. It's great for those that love to be fashionable and switch up the colors frequently but if you're looking for a polish to last 5 days you can forget it with the matte formula. You can also switch up your look by mixing it with shiny colors and leave your tips matte which can also be very trendy but again don't expect the look to last. Also try not to wear hand lotion because it does tend to change the look of the matte polish.

Note: the matte formula also dries very fast so you have to be quick without making any bumps in your nails. Everything shows with the matte formula.

Swatches of
La Paz-itively Hot Matte ( My favorite look of the three) taken on day one

Swatches of You Don't Know Jacques Matte ( My least favorite it looks like a purple brown hue and better in person but I still feel it's too dark for my taste) This one was taken on the second day and you can see its already chipping
